Contact: Paula G. Kaufmann 781-784-5325 A WIN-WIN GAME AT THE MALL If you’ve ever played Scrabbleâ , now you can play and win even if you lose. On Sunday, November 4th, the Walpole Mall will host an all-you-can-play Scrabbleâ event to raise money for two Disaster Relief Funds: the NY Firefighters Disaster Relief Fund and The American Red Cross. For a contribution of $5, anyone may play as many games as they like. All contributions will be given to the two funds mentioned, and contributors may choose the fund they prefer. If you have your own Scrabbleâ sets and/or clocks, please bring them. Your games can be as formal or informal as you like. However, a set of basic rules will be supplied. The Mall, located at 90 Providence Highway (Route 1 at Coney Street) in Walpole, opens at 12:00 Noon on Sundays and closes at 6:00 PM. Between games, players may enjoy special discounts for contributors from several Mall stores and restaurants. The event is organized by the Massapoag Scrabble Club, with assistance from other area clubs. So whether you’re a beginner or an expert, reserve Nov. 4th for a great day of wordplay, shopping, and meeting people!
